Parents Can Be
Paid Caregivers
In Georgia, parents of medically fragile children may be eligible to serve as paid caregivers through the GAPP or BDI waiver programs. This allows you to care for your own child while receiving compensation for the skilled services you provide at home.
Not every parent qualifies. Caregiver eligibility depends on the child's waiver, medical needs, and the parent's ability to meet training and certification requirements. We help families understand the process and determine whether this option is right for their situation.
Qualifications Required
- Child must be enrolled in GAPP or BDI waiver
- Parent must complete required caregiver training
- CPR/First Aid certification and competency evaluation
- Background check and compliance documentation
- Caregiver skills must match the child's medical needs
Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Not all parents qualify — contact us to discuss your family's situation.

Reach Out
Call us or submit a request. Tell us about your child's needs and current GAPP authorization. We'll guide you through eligibility and answer every question.
RN Assessment
Our pediatric RN conducts a comprehensive in-home assessment, reviews physician orders, and develops a personalized skilled nursing care plan for your child.
Care Team Matching
We match your child with qualified nurses experienced in their specific medical needs — and coordinate with your physicians, Medicaid, and support coordinators.

Transfer Your Child's Care
to Our Agency
Unhappy with your current GAPP provider? You have the right to choose a different agency at any time — and we make the transfer process simple. No disruption to your child's care, no overwhelming paperwork for you. We handle it all.
Did you know? Under the Georgia Pediatric Program, families have the right to change providers without losing their authorized hours. Your child's GAPP authorization stays with your child, not the agency.
We Handle the Paperwork
Tell us your current provider and we'll coordinate the transfer with Medicaid, your support coordinator, and physician — minimizing your administrative burden.
Meet Your New Care Team
We match your child with experienced pediatric nurses and conduct a comprehensive RN assessment to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Quick & Smooth Transition
Most transfers are completed within 2–3 weeks. We work to ensure there's no gap in your child's nursing coverage during the switch.
